Ronnie, Mia and Andy E joined me for today’s ride to the Herts Garden Centre and The Rose Garden Cafe, our second visit here. The ride out was wind-assisted so was fairly easy in spite of the hills!
Geoff P had arrived early direct from Luton and bagged a table, with a short wait for our orders to arrive. My choice of hummus and falafel toastie made a welcome change from the usual cheese and tomato 
Geoff rode with us for the first part of the return, as far as East Hyde, and I rode on with the others as far as Preston. Andy still had some distance to go from this point, I hope it wasn’t too hard for him with the wind against…
Official distance was 39 miles, at a 12.6 average.
