A cold start to the day, and there was a chill in the air all day, especially after lunch, as the sun disappeared behind the clouds (but that did not stop me wearing my summer gear – birthday present).
Seven of us made the trip out to Waresley, with Mia leading, Alan, Andy, Nigel, Ronnie, John D and Adrian following. – Thanks Mia for giving Adrian a break from leading.
The route out was via Bygrave, Ashwell, Guilden Morden and Potton.Waresley Garden Centre was very busy, and service a bit slower than usual, compounded by there only being one till open. Still, once ordered our meals arrived in good time.
Andy and Myself left first to take the direct route back via Langley and Henlow, with the wind behind us all the way back.
The remaining five taking the loop out toward Abbotsley before turning south for home adding an extra 10 miles.
