A nice round dozen made the trip to The Hoops for our monthly Garden City Wheelers ride, with Alan arriving independently.
Eleven set off from the fountain in two groups, with myself (Adrian) leading Mia, Jack, Nige and John D, while Geoff P led Stuart, Sheila, and three new riders, Richard, Nick and Denis.
The occasional glimpse of the sun took the chill off the northerly wind, but it was just warm enough to sit outside for lunch, where we were well looked after by the always excellent Hoops.
Both Stuart and Alan departed early, needing to get back sooner, so both groups were five for the return, Geoff taking the direct route and my group extending the ride a little. A good run out.
Geoff’s group covered 29 miles at an average of approx. 11.5 mph.
