A distinctly autumnal feel to the morning saw five gather at the fountain for today’s ride, myself (Adrian), Kris, Mia, Ronnie and returning rider John M.
Pleasant conditions for riding, it warmed up as the day went on, and on arrival at the pub we were met by Geoff P who’d ridden out from Luton, and Alan – who started off late and didn’t quite manage to catch the main group.
A good venue this with views across to the Dunstable Downs and Ivinghoe Beacon. Both Ronnie and Alan dashed off separately needing to get back, and Geoff came a short way with us after lunch, leaving just four for most of the return.
The route back used some quieter and more scenic roads for a time which seemed to be appreciated, in spite of the slightly extra miles!
Distance was 56 miles at 14 mph.
