A bit cooler this morning than lately, and the day stayed largely overcast until later on, but it was pleasant enough for cycling, and there was very little wind !
Six left the fountain; Mia, Lorraine, Jack, Kris, Alan and Adrian leading.
The route out was via Bygrave, Ashwell, Eyeworth and Sutton with what wind there was in our faces.
On arriving at the cafe we found it apparently busy and some of us were told there were long waits for food, but this proved unfounded, and we were there less than an hour, which is fairly typical for our rides. Our first visit for two years; will avoid the school hols next time!
The ride back was through the largely traffic-free lanes to the West of Sandy, and we popped in for an afternoon cuppa at Moggerhanger, except Alan, who had to get back, hence he’s missing from the photo, as we forgot to take one at St. Neots..
I (Alan) did 64 miles for this Tuesday ride with an average speed of 16mph
