Sorry Late again – Rather low numbers today, probably due to a combination of illness and holidays we think, so in spite of the promise of more fine weather, there were only seven at the fountain.
Geoff P set off on his own and picked up John H at Wymondley, taking the direct route, while I led Geoff H, John D, Mia, Andy and a potential new member, another John!
Alan set off late from Hitchin and joined us at the top of Princess Helena hill, so we were nine for lunch in total. There was a brisk wind with overcast skies, but still quite warm, so the Pub garden was made use of.
Alan and Andy scooted off early, as they often do, taking the direct route back.
The weather started to warm up on the return, with myself and John D leaving the rest at Whitwell.
The Cross Keys is always a good venue, they look after us well there, one of my favourite pubs.
