A somewhat warmer day than of late for our Tuesday ride. We were only three at the fountain making for a very meagre turn-out, though myself, Paul and Adrian were joined by Nigel at Arlesey Station – Four in total.
Adrian kept the route out fairly direct, via Arlesey, Old Warden and Great Barford – so we kept out of the wind to a large degree on a brisk pace.
The little Acorn cafe in Roxton was okay – they had a lot of people before us who were fortunately leaving so the service was relatively quick (and for a change I stayed for a snack).
We took the longer route back via Wilden, Willington, Cardington and Shefford, where Adrian left us with returning through Arlesey – there were a couple of longish stretches into what was quite a strong breeze.
Hard work, but a good run nonetheless.
