Another blustery day saw eleven gather at the fountain for today’s ride. Six set off on a slightly longer ride (myself leading, Alan, Mia, Kevin, Geoff H and John D), with the remaining five (Geoff P, Stuart, Angie, Steve and Roy) taking a more direct route. In common with many places nowadays there is a large and robust marquee, with drinks and meals being supplied very efficiently.
After the usual hour’s conviviality we set off on the return in the same groups, passing a contingent from Cambridge CTC on the way. The wind made it much harder work going back, but I think we’re getting used to it by now… Adrian Winterbone.
