On a pleasantly warm and breezy day, eight of us met at the fountain for the ride out to Gamlingay. Nige was already waiting as I arrived at the start, with Steve, Alan, Geoff H, Jack, Angie and finally Paul following shortly after. An easy tail-wind assisted ride out was followed by the usual convivial lunch, with Angie taking the opportunity to stock up her larder!
I had deliberately kept the return shorter to take account of the now head wind home, but all bar Angie elected to accompany me on my route back home, at least as far as Stotfold anyway. The ‘official’ route was 36 miles, it most of us covering a little more than that. Adrian Winterbone.
