On a very hot morning 7 of us met in the shade near the fountain; Nige, Mia, Stuart, Steve, Kevin, Alan and myself Adrian. The ride out was pretty easy with a helpful breeze that seemed to keep the temperature down a bit… by St.Neots it was roasting. We were able to scrape enough shade together for all of us, After a very efficiently supplied lunch we prepared for the return before an hour had passed, with Stuart (planned) and Steve (mechanical) returning by train. The remaining 5 paused briefly in Gt. Barford for ice creams by the river before tackling the final leg and a most welcome cold shower. An excellent summer’s day ride.
