Mackerye End House dates from 1307 when the Manor of Makeriesend was held by William Makary. The main structure is Elizabethan and the Georgian windows were added in 1760. The present owners have lived there since 1988 and have made many improvements and renovations to preserve the character and charm of the historic house and gardens.
